What are some key understandings of ecological literacy that are important to all citizens? (rather than specialists from scientific-type fields)?

- Familiarity with one's “ecological address” (or “neighborhood”)

- ecological basis for human existence

- ecology of systems which sustain human life

- globe as ecosystem

- genetic/evolutionary concepts
